About Urban&Civic

Master developers Urban&Civic have created a vision for Middlebeck as a place to live and grow, characterised by natural, open spaces, attractive homes, high quality schools and outstanding community facilities.

Urban&Civic

Urban&Civic owns 80% of the land that makes Middlebeck, and heads a collaboration of others in providing the entire development with essential utilities and infrastructure.

In addition, it is responsible for the creation of landscaping, community facilities, shops and schools, the platform for housebuilders to create the variety of homes to meet Newark’s need.

Middlebeck forms part of a nationwide portfolio of large scale, strategic sites delivered by Urban&Civic.

Community engagement

Our approach to community and stakeholder engagement sets us and our developments apart. Over the past few months, our team has met regularly with individuals and groups who are either interested in or have questions about Middlebeck.

We are currently working on a community hub and office for our team on Bowbridge Lane, due for completion at the start of 2018. In the meantime, please contact Johanne Thomas or Matt Croft at newark@urbanandcivic.com

Close community partnerships

We work closely with local, regional and national stakeholders to deliver our vision for Middlebeck. Newark and Sherwood District Council and Nottinghamshire County Council are our closest partners – with strategic oversight for all aspects of planning, education, employment, health, transport, community safety and housing.

We also have a close working relationship with the government’s Homes and Communities Agency and Department for Communities and Local Government as well as the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, all of whom benefit from the continued growth of Newark and Nottinghamshire.
